Donald R. Joiner, M.D., F.A.C.S., is certified by
the American Board of Surgery in both General and Vascular
Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He specializes in the surgical management and minimally invasive
treatment of circulation disorders caused by blocked or damaged
blood vessels, as well as stroke prevention and treatments for
varicose and spider veins. He also provides comprehensive
management and treatment of all vascular disorders, circulation
problems, aneurysms, venous diseases and venous and dialysis
access.
Dr. Joiner received a bachelor of arts degree in 1991 in biology
with a minor in business and chemistry from Austin College in
Sherman, Texas. He received his M.D. from the University of
Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 1995.
From 1995 to 1999, he was a surgical intern and resident at
UTHSCSA and completed his chief residency in 2000. From 2000 to
2002, he was a Vascular Surgery Fellow and an Endovascular
Surgery Fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical
Center in Dallas. Since 2004, Dr. Joiner has been on the staff
at Hill Country Memorial Hospital caring for patients with vascular disease and
teaching medical students about the management of
vascular disease. Dr. Joiner lives and practices full time
in Fredericksburg, Texas.
